**We are seeking a Satellite Digital Systems - Team Leader to oversee the development of a combination of digital hardware, firmware and software components on board and on the ground, ensuring that they work together correctly to meet all of our customers’ needs.

**SECURITY CLEARANCE**:Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance

You will join our team in in developing a new generation of digital communications satellite processors. You will be immersed in a flight programme with access to experts in all disciplines needed to design complex global communication systems.

Line managing a team of experienced system and software engineers, you’ll provide support and guidance to ensure success.

**HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM**
- Management of 10 team members' day-to-day activities and well-being
- Concept feasibility and generation of new ideas
- Development of digital processor architectural design and specification
- Digital signal processing algorithm design, simulation and analysis
- Control software development and validation
- Laboratory prototyping of new processor designs

**ABOUT YOU**
- Initiative to find creative solutions to complex technical problems
- Desire to collaborate within a multi-disciplinary engineering team environment
- Quick learner, capable of absorbing a wide range of skills and expertise
- Understanding of modern communication systems and digital signal processing algorithms
- Enthusiasm for digital technologies

You will also require experience of good system engineering practice in a relevant domain in order to guide less experienced project engineers.
