**AAK Hull **

AAK Hull is located in the heart of an area enjoying significant redevelopment and investment.
The Port of Hull is being established as a world-class centre for renewable energy and manufacturing, and at AAK we feel proud to be part of this important industrial renaissance for Yorkshire and the UK.
At our recently upgraded site at King George Dock we operate the UK's largest refinery for edible oils and fats. We supply businesses in the sectors of food manufacturing, baking, Foodservice and retail, and we work closely with customers to co-develop bespoke products.

**About the role**

This role will be responsible for evaluating AAK and other ingredient manufacturers in finished product samples. Follow and establish procedures and guidelines to contribute to research to improve, generate new products, components, equipment, systems and processes. As well as evaluating new ingredients and customer trends. This position is Monday to Friday and will report directly into the Customer Innovation Manager.
**Responsibilities**
- Conduct routine analysis, experimental, and investigatory work according to an established research plan
- Record results and prepare simple technical reports, including conclusions and recommendations.
- Preparation of customer samples, customer recipe review and trouble shooting.

**About you**
- Degree qualified
- Culinary background in food manufacture
- Passion for food and innovation
- Practical technical aptitude and dexterity
- Ability to work independently
- Knowledge about the analyses used in the specific industry for measuring relevant quality parameters of oils and fats. Mainly physical, functional, and sensory analysis but could also be chemical.
