Senior Support Worker/team Leader

Are you an experienced and dedicated individual seeking a leadership role in the field of social care? Haven Support is looking for a dynamic and compassionate Team Leader to guide and inspire our team of Support Workers. In this crucial role, you will build on your care experience to ensure the high standard of support is consistently delivered; acting as a positive role model to your colleagues.
**Role Details**:
As a Support Worker at Haven Support, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the life of a young man with autism and learning difficulties based in Niton, with a focus on promoting independence and overall well-being. Working in a domiciliary setting, you will create a supportive environment that fosters personal growth and autonomy through activities within the community and at home.
A large part of your role is to help individuals gain new life skills, connect with their communities, and provide outcomes to help them to live a fulfilled and meaningful life.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Serve as the point of contact for staff, offering guidance and support.
- Ensure the highest standards of support are maintained at all times.
- Demonstrate supervisory and team leadership skills.
- Lead supervisions and 1:1s to provide constructive feedback and support personal development.
- Conduct inductions for new staff members, helping them integrate seamlessly into the team.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to maintain up-to-date paperwork and support plans.
**Key Requirements**:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in health and social care or equivalent.
- Experience in a support setting working with individuals with challenging behaviour is required.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a social care setting.
- Comprehensive understanding of support worker responsibilities and care standards.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a team.
- Dedication to ensuring the well-being and independence of individuals in our care.
- A keen drive to make a real difference to the lives of the people we support.
