Job description

The College Merthyr Tydfil is looking to appoint a Vice-Principal Curriculum and Quality, who will play a crucial role in the achievement of this vision and our ongoing journey to excellence, joining a dynamic leadership team and providing a strategic lead for curriculum and quality across the college. Working closely with the Principal, the Vice Principal Resources and the rest of the senior management team, you would be responsible for ensuring that the learner experience is excellent, that all teaching areas consistently deliver to an excellent standard and that targets for outcomes are set, monitored and delivered. The aim of the role is to ensure that these areas strive to improve so that all areas operate at or above national benchmarks and are managed within agreed budgets.

A key element of this will require the ability to lead and work effectively with colleagues across the college, creating an environment for learners, and staff, of high performance focused on success, whilst also ensuring that the college has a significant voice at local, regional and national levels.
