Wall Colmonoy are currently recruiting for a Environment, Health, and Safety Officer.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Wall Colmonoy EHS team. The main responsibility of the EHS Officer is to support the EHS Manager in developing and maintaining a positive and consistent Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) culture, ensuring EHS is firmly part of everyone’s day-to-day thinking and is an integral part of business management and decision making.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Work with the EHS Manager on the maintenance of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Is conversant with the contents of the WCL policies, environment manual, risk assessments, aspects & impacts, legislation, and procedures.
- Provides advice, guidance, instruction, and training in all EHS matters to management, safety representatives and employees (including where applicable to sub-contractors, suppliers, and visitors to sites).
- Carries out internal audits and site inspections in conjunction with Site Management, and recommends corrective actions, improvements, and document findings.
- Maintain effective EHS systems, including the Incident Reporting System, completion of risk assessments (including COSHH), method statements and toolbox talks where appropriate.
- Assist in the development and roll out of EHS improvement projects.
- Taking an active role in workplace monitoring activities through the identification, organisation, and coordination of activities.
- Investigate complaints arising from environmental impacts or incidents to minimise the negative impact on the reputation.
- Collate relevant monthly data, statistics, and KPIs regarding the Environment, Health & Safety to present to the EHS Committee.

**SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS**
- A recognised Environmental qualification. IEMA preferred.
- A NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety and working towards NVQ level 5 or NEBOSH Diploma.
- At least 3 years’ experience in an EHS role.
- Experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Have experience of working with ISO 14001.
- Excellent IT and communication skills.

The role requires a ‘can do’ attitude and a resilient personality, an individual who is prepared to take ownership and be accountable for their process.

**Salary**: Dependant on qualifications and skills.

**Hours of work - 38 hours per week**

Monday to Thursday 08.00 - 16.30 (30 min unpaid lunch break)
Friday 08.00 - 14.30 (30 min unpaid lunch break)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
