**About the Role**:
An exciting time to join the team as we are growing rapidly and are actively looking to recruit multiple positions across the business to support this expansion.

We’re looking for a passionate and confident garment technologist to join the team with a strong experience in Designer and Luxury brands across Women’s & Men’s wear. You will be working on garments from prototype through to sampling and production, liaising closely with designers, developers and factories.

**Purpose of the Role**:
To achieve and maintain the highest possible quality standards for all categories through all stages of garment technology process, from initial sketch through to final product. Build a library and streamline garment finishes, fit standard, identifying and updating pattern blocks for the brand whilst working at speed to meet business & client deadlines.

**The Role**:

- Create detailed technical packs with necessary information for the team and factories to follow through during sampling and production whilst, ensuring garments conform to required aesthetic, construction and finishings from 1st sample through to pre-production.
- Be able to lead fittings, document fit comments and clearly communicate these changes with factories or in house atelier team. Suggest product improvements through technical research and quality benchmarking.
- Review all submitted development and pre-production samples against original product specification and agree/confirm/sign off manufacturing, performance, and fit requirements, as the standard against which bulk production will be measured.
- Effectively translate print, embellishment and complex construction requirements for the manufacturers and suppliers to follow during and post development
- Work with the factories to ensure checks are completed before handover and action taken before shipment of goods during sampling.
- Initiate fabric test reports for wearability and performance when necessary.
- Measure all samples to ensure measurements are to spec and update the spec sheets on the technical packs. Ensure garments are measured before fittings and address any manufacturing discrepancies to the team during fits.
- Ensure grading rule and sizing is consistent across all projects unless a specific size & grade rule is provided by the client.
- Plan and organise all fit meetings including booking models as and when necessary.
- Generate detailed handover of each collection to production team with SMS comments and finalised technical packs for their use.
- Update all relevant paperwork for special processes to be followed during production following sampling.

**Skills, Knowledge & Experience**:

- At least 3-5 years’ experience in the same role at a premium designer/ luxury brand.
- Be educated to a degree level in Fashion.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and working on multiple collections simultaneously whilst adhering to critical path.
- Good knowledge of garment construction methods and manufacturing sewing operations including pattern making, grading and marking processes.
- Ability to work with Domestic and overseas factories and an understanding of constraints and timescales.
- A working knowledge of materials, tailoring, prints, embellishments, and special fabric manipulations techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and client requirements.
- Maintain a good working relationship and excellent communication with internal and external teams.
