Activity Instructor

Require a watersports activity instructor based mainly at Vobster inland diving centre to teach stand up paddleboarding to people of all ages and abilities, with additional work at Avon Valley Farm - UK Active Outdoors HQ.

Must be 18+, local and available asap. 3 days a week with possible evenings opening up with the local scout groups and various other bookings.

Must be flexible, willing to learn new activities and can work on their own as well as in a team.

Desirable Qualifications:

- Bsupa Level 1 or BCU Paddlesports Level 1 Stand up paddleboarding instructor. You will be teaching our ready to sup sessions with a 1 to 8 instructor to customer ratio. 90 minutes per session.
- First aid trained

Other activities you will be trained on for land-based activities:

- Axe throwing Instructor, teaching people how to throw the tools in a safe manner.
- Ultimate Throwing Instructor, teaching people how to throw various tools, knives, cards, hatchets, shovel, in a safe manner.
- Battle Archery Marshal, teaching people to shoot each other with a bow and safe arrow in a paintball style scenario.
- Sword Combat Marshal, Teaching people in the art of sword fighting in a LARP style format, using swords, axes and shields
- Range Officer, Teaching various groups on how to shoot air rifles at various targets.
- Caving and Tunnelling safety officer

All positions also involve housekeeping, maintenance work onsite, customer welfare, cleaning of equipment, repairing equipment, etc.

Our company is starting to deal with more individuals who require additional needs, and we therefore cater to people of all ages and abilities, from special needs schools, mental and physical health as well as charities.

Part-time hours: 16 per week

**Salary**: £7.50-£10.50 per hour

- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- upper vobster: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- teaching: 1 year (preferred)
