**Job Overview**

**Duties**
1. To be responsible for ensuring and maintaining company compliance with requirements of all accreditations, standards and EH&S requirements

2. to be responsible for coordinating and managing both internal and external auditing requirements, timely follow up, implementation and closure of all audit findings, including site audits.

3. Ensure that all accident, incidents, and significant close-calls and near misses are reported, investigated and that all lessons learnt from investigations, are understood and changes implemented.

4. Manage and maintain all data from monitoring systems and collate information against standards and H&S KPIs.

5. Ensure companies SHEQ policies and procedures and adhered to.

6. Produce, monitor and measure company risk assessments and method statements.

7. Participate and promote new safety innovations.

8. Manage training safety matrix and ensure correct implementation and development.

10. To conduct weekly safety toolbox talks

11. To attend fortnightly contractor safety meetings

**Essential**:
1. NEBOSH general certification

2. Competence of MS Office suite of products

3. Experience of project controls and reporting requirements

4. Experience of risk assessment methodology

5. Good technical knowledge of health and safety, and environmental legislation

6. Exceptional record retention

7. Strong communication skills

**Desirable**:
1. Relevant qualification in Health and Safety - Degree / Diploma / HNC / HND

2. Mechanical engineering background

Pay: From £45,000.00 per year

- Certificate of Higher Education (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Mechanical engineering: 2 years (preferred)

- NEBOSH General Certificate (preferred)
