Dietician

An outstanding new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Dietician to work in an exceptional hospital based in the Cheadle, Greater Manchester area. You will be working for one of UK’s leading health care providers

The hospital is a specialist provider of complex mental health services, providing clinical excellence across 11 wards which include a speciality eating disorder service, CAMHS, rehabilitation, acute and PICU services

**To be considered for this position you must have a degree in dietetics or nutrition and be HCPC registered**

As a Dietician your key duties include:

- Lead the dietetics service for the team, by developing appropriate service standards, care pathways and materials for the dietetics service, and contributing to MDT service development and evaluation
- Work as an autonomous dietetic practitioner to carry a complex inpatient, day patient and outpatient caseload, using evidence based and client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions in service users. This includes pre-admission-assessment for any of the inpatient, day patient or outpatient services
- Liaise with Specialist Eating Disorder dietetic colleagues working in other areas of the eating disorder pathway within the company and its partners
- Facilitate liaison with the catering team. I.e. food menu review, portioning, set up of special menus
- Offer patient meal supervision and post-meal support and act as a role model to other staff
- Organise and provide supervision and training for dietetic students

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

- An active member of an established and committed team and will be expected to participate in the ongoing development of the service and clinical governance issues
- Excellent communication
- Excellent inter-personal skills
- Experience of working with eating disorders is desirable, but not essential

The successful Dietician will receive an excellent salary of £40,000 - £45,000 per annum DOE. We currently have vacancies for both Full Time and Part Time opportunities available. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
