**Role**:Senior HR Advisor

**Location**: Chorley

**Salary**: £35,000 to £40,000 per annum

**The role**:
Reporting to the HR Director you will provide generalist HR support to the business with an emphasis on supporting, coaching and training management on a wide range of HR topics. You will be the first point of contact for Operatives and Technical Operators dealing with day to day issues regarding absence, sickness, training and development, performance management and payroll. You will ensure the effective delivery of HR support ensuring a consistent approach is taken, supporting business strategy. You will also be actively involved in HR projects of a continuous improvement nature including review of policies, procedures and systems, talent development solutions as well as supporting the whole employee life cycle in line with best practice methods, supporting and development of Managers in relation to all areas of HR, maintaining accurate HR records and production of accurate reports and taking the lead on HR projects.

**Skills & Experience**:
You will be a confident and driven HR Advisor with experience of working in a generalist HR role. You will have excellent communication skills and be confident in providing support to Senior Management. You will have strong negotiation skills and ideally have some exposure to working alongside Trade Unions. You will have a strong understanding of employment law, employee relations and experience of working successfully with employee groups and the management of the employee lifecycle.
