**Job Title: Receptionist**
**Location: Radcliffe Primary Care Centre M26 2SP**
**Hours: 30 Hours PW**
**What you’ll be responsible for**:
- Booking of New patient appointments through the national eRS system
- Booking of Follow Up patient appointments through clinic / theatre attendances and waiting list.
- Responding to telephone and other enquiries from patients and service users
- Provision of outpatient reception services
- Obtaining and recording demographic data received from patients.
- Responsible for receiving patients for outpatient clinic and for ensuring that demographic data, is accurately recorded within the record
- Clinic preparation - Printing clinic lists, labels and collating any relevant documents.
- Ensuring that data input to PAS is accurate and input at the time the patient transaction takes place for both inpatients and outpatients
**You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust**:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and keyboard skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook 365.
- You will need to work in a timely manner, calmly and accurately under pressure.
- Previous experience within a reception/front-of-house role.
- Dealing with queries in a sympathetic and appropriate manner.
