**Job Description**:
We are looking to recruit an experienced Collections Librarian to join AECOM Library and Information Services (ALIS), based in the UK. This is a varied role as the post holder is responsible for digital and print collection development and management, maintenance of vendor relations and licensing, as well as engagement with stakeholders at all levels of the business.

**Key duties**:
+ responsibility for collection development and collection management, ensuring provision of electronic and printed resources and memberships to meet the needs of AECOM users

+ managing key external providers, negotiating licence agreements and monitoring performance to ensure appropriate coverage, value for money and excellent service provision

+ using existing systems to extract, cleanse, analyse and produce detailed reporting on usage of resources

+ ensuring the ALIS collections budget is managed efficiently, monitoring and reporting on expenditure to the Head of Library and Information Services, Europe

+ responsibility for management of the ALIS print collection including disaster management, preservation, selection and deselection

+ maintain relationships with technical leaders, practice groups, learning networks and other stakeholders within the business to feed into collection management

+ establish and maintain effective relationships with professional institutions and academic bodies to feed into a facilitated collection of external resources

+ identify and exploit open access resources to develop and enhance ALIS collections

+ support ALIS service delivery through regular ALIS enquiry rota slots, delivering excellent customer service to all users

+ contribute to the development and delivery of ALIS strategy

+ undertake other duties in support of the work of ALIS as may be required by the Head of Library and Information Services, Europe

+ proven negotiating and influencing skills

+ evidence of effective supplier relationship selection and management

+ ability to exercise judgement to assess service providers and resources

+ experience of managing the acquisition and licensing of content in all formats

+ excellent IT skills, in particular data analysis and usage reporting using Excel, or similar

+ familiarity with COUNTER and OpenAthens statistics or similar

+ analytical skills and critical thinking, able to quickly understand issues and resolve problems

+ ability to work independently and manage your own time

+ experience in building and maintaining collaborative relationships with colleagues at all levels

+ at ease with innovation and change and an adaptive and flexible approach to work

+ knowledge of licensing, copyright and IPR in a commercial environment

**Qualifications**:
+ educated to a degree-level, in an information or library specialist area, or possessing equivalent experience

+ previous experience working in a collections role, ideally in a business or commercial environment

+ enthusiastic, highly motivated, flexible and able to exercise appropriate initiative
