**2 Job Purpose**

Throughout Aberdeen city you will participate in the provision of a high standard of person centred care and support for service users. You will provide a delivery and collection service for Occupational Therapy equipment and will promote good outcomes for service users and their carers. You will assist in the fitting and refurbishment of equipment as required. You will assist with general tasks in the Community Equipment Store.

**4 Outcomes**

**The post holder will be expected to**:

- Deliver and collect equipment that meets the needs of service users
- Maintain vehicle in a safe and tidy condition
- Carry out technical work which may involve repairing and fitting equipment
- Alter and refurbish equipment to meet needs of service users
- Participate in promoting, maintaining and coordinating effective working relationships with staff members and other relevant parties
- Provide a high quality service, working within the Policies, Procedures and Guidelines of the Organisation
- Ensure service users are satisfied with the quality of the care delivered and address any concerns highlighted
- Carry out administrative tasks

**8 Requirements of the Job**

**The post holder needs to hold as a minimum**:

- Full drivers licence
- PVG

**The post holder will be expected to**:

- Travel as required in relation to the needs of the service
- Work in accordance with Adult and Public Protection principles and procedures
- Adhere to the requirements of company policy and procedures and health and safety policies and legislation
- Undertake equipment specific training
- Undertake lifting and handling training
- Be responsible for the day to day maintenance of vans and equipment

**9 Development**

**The post holder must have undertaken or be committed to undertaking the following within a specified period**:

- Induction training
- Core training
- Lifting and Handling
- OIL Module - Protecting Children
- Adult Protection Level 1
- Equipment specific training

**Salary**: £25,532.00-£28,187.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Driving: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
