The Technical Delivery Portfolio is a growth area within Methods Group, focusing on Software Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Technical Architecture and Cyber Security. Our aim is to deliver profitable growth and public value by winning and delivering projects that support digital, data and technology transformation in our target markets (initially Central Government and Healthcare). The business has grown significantly over the past 2 years and is well positioned for further growth across several key accounts and reference projects.
This role is to support Head of Delivery and delivery management function within TDSE. You will be expected to design, plan, and execute project support and project management office activities to enable efficient set up of projects, teams and have a direct impact on the overall success of the delivery function.
You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of all our projects, working closely with the Head of Delivery and delivery managers.
You are someone who does not shy away from administrative activities, thinks outside the box and is mindful of business needs, and urgencies.
You are someone who can be relied upon on finishing a task, no matter how mundane it is.
You love data, metrics (KPIs) and designing efficient processes to improve the performance of delivery.
You thrive in demanding environment and feel comfortable with ambiguity and juggling multiple priorities.

You will be the right-hand person for Head of Delivery.

**Responsibilities**:

- Resourcing
- Assist Head of Delivery in producing and maintaining portfolio resource and recruitment plan. Do effective portfolio resource planning, including working with central support and back-office teams (such as internal recruitment, security, assurance, HR, Legal) and other Heads Of, members of TDSE teams
- Lead the development of an excellent process for recruitment and onboarding of people for TDSE portfolio. This will need working with central support and back-office teams (such as internal recruitment, security, assurance, HR, Legal) and cross portfolio, members of TDSE teams
- Get stuck in the resourcing activities (Do the doing) incl. administrative of maintaining resource plans up to date, coordinating JDs, interviews, collating feedback, onboarding people, kit procurement. This will include liaising with other Heads of and central support/ back-office teams
- Acquire expert level skills in the TDSE portfolio project management tools, resource management tool (Workable) and to provide support in the relevant use of the tool for delivery managers and rest of the portfolio
- Manage resourcing requests for projects using Workable, portfolio resourcing tracker and Salesforce resource planner
- Define resourcing KPIs for the workflow and publish regular report to Head of Delivery, identifying ways to improve those KPIs. This will involve working with other Methods teams involved in the workflow
- Escalate to Head of Delivery in an orderly manner, the recruitment risks that may threaten project delivery
- Process, Standards and Templates
- Define processes, standards, and templates to enhance quality of delivery. Development of playbooks, including but not limited to following
- Delivery governance, risk, and reporting
- New project mobilisation
- Project onboarding and offboarding
- Project financing and budgeting
- Design and prepare relevant project templates and with help guides, train other delivery managers and stakeholders on adopting them
- Design a customer feedback process incl. template that could be standardised across the portfolio
- Act as change agent to embed new processes and standards within TDSE and cross portfolio teams
- Quality assurance
- Collate project data from multiple sources and teams incl. delivery teams, delivery managers, central support, and back-office teams such as Finance and building reports including but not limited to project finances, delivery progress, and risk
- Liaising with delivery managers to monitor and track project financials (actuals and forecasts)
- Support Head of Delivery with contracts and Statement of Works (SoWs)
- Support Delivery managers with back-office activities such as Project Set up in Salesforce, Purchase Order approvals, Project Billing, resource onboarding and offboarding, contract extensions and terminations
- Keeping project records in Salesforce up to date
- Assisting Head of Delivery with portfolio reviews incl. scheduling of meetings, setting agendas for delivery teams
