This Post is part of the Maintenance Team of Kettering General Hospital who provides maintenance services, both planned and reactive, for the properties belonging to the Hospital.

The Post Holder is expected to provide a comprehensive repair and maintenance service for Building systems and installations in all buildings occupied and operated by the Hospital.

You will carry out necessary maintenance tasks to ensure the safe and continuous operation of the Building services and the building plant located in the Trust.

You will undertake and manage specific maintenance tasks and you will carry out maintenance and repairs across a wide range of interconnected highly complex plant and equipment, reporting to the Maintenance Manager.

You will be working to established building system procedures, good practice, organisational and broad occupation policies. Often working to measured standards and procedures which require specific training; in first line response situations the post holder will need to establish
how such policies can be implemented.

The main role for this post holder will be to supervise the building maintenance department and to ensure they comply with all health & Safety and compliance documents.

You will be expected to help deliver a comprehensive repair and maintenance service for building systems and installations in all buildings occupied and operated by the Hospital including planned preventative maintenance tasks and reactive jobs ensuring the trust comply with statutory and mandatory compliance.

You will be working to established Building procedures, good practice, organisational and broad occupation policies. Often making sure the team is working to measured standards and procedures which require specific training; in first line response situations the post holder will need to establish how such policies can be implemented.

You will also be given minor building projects to manage ensuring compliance with current standards.

You will join the Estates Manager On-Call rota for out of hours breakdowns

The Estates Department are currently looking for three applicants to be able to cover two shift patterns from Mon-Thur 08:00 till 16:30 and fri 08:00 till 16:00.
