**Role Overview**:
We are seeking an Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper, who will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of The Evewell (West London) Limited finance activities, facilitating the annual external audit as well as any internal audit assignments, and ensuring that The Evewell’s financial statements and other accounting records are compliant. You will maintain accurate financial records, invoice patients, answer patient queries, process payments to our suppliers, manage payroll, maintain and balance ledgers, reconcile bank accounts, and support the preparation of financial schedules in line with sound bookkeeping and accounting procedures.

It is essential that you have an excellent understanding of the Company’s financial accounting standards and the importance of managing and handling confidential and sensitive information professionally and in accordance with GDPR. You will also be an excellent communicator with the ability to take a flexible, adaptable approach and respond to shifting priorities. Speaking to patients is a big part of the role, so you must feel comfortable speaking with patients.

**Location**: The Evewell (West London) Hammersmith

This role must be undertaken on-site. There will be no opportunity for remote/home working.

**Job type**: Permanent

**Hours**: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm

**Salary**: £30,000-£34,000 per annum

**Requirements**:

- 2 years bookkeeping experience
- 2 years experience using excel
- Experience using Xero

**Experience/Qualifications**:

- Bookkeeping experience within medical industry preferred
- Part or full ACCA qualified preferred

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Reconcile the monthly company bank account
- Answer patient queries
- Prepare monthly revenue reconciliation report
- Prepare monthly salaries and overtime, review payslips and address queries, upload payroll
- Oversee purchase ledger: Ensure that all invoices and expenses are processed within internal policies and targets, reconcile statements and work with suppliers to resolve discrepancies, prepare payment runs and follow up work as required
- Generate purchase orders
- Process insured invoices month end reconciliation
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and year-end accounts and liaise with external auditor
- Prepare monthly reporting and KPI reports
- Oversee invoicing and assist with credit control
- Proactively seek to improve controls over revenue assurance
- Proactively seek ways to improve finance processes and systems
- Carry out tasks to support colleagues when they are away
- Uploading invoices and credit notes to Xero
- Post BACS payments and Stripe payments to accounting system
- Perform monthly debtors’ reconciliation
- Review aged payables and receivables
- Reconcile monthly corporate credit card statement / expense report
- Other duties as necessary
