VolkerRail are looking to recruit a Fuel & Logistics Distribution Driver to join our Plant business. This is a great opportunity to join a high performing organisation with a strong order book and proven record for consistent safe delivery.

Working from the Scunthorpe depot you will be responsible for managing fuel delivery to various sites throughout the UK.

**Key accountabilities**:
Key duties for the role include but are not limited to:

- Producing an efficient weekly fuel delivery plan for all delivery drivers to ensure efficient delivery of fuel by road.
- Ensuring fuel delivery vehicles are maintained and compliant with the required regulations and standards for the delivery of fuel by road.
- Delivering and discharging of fuel into the various items of plant nationally.
- Line management responsibility for fuel delivery drivers including:

- Ensuring they hold and maintain the correct competence to fulfil duties
- Managing driving hours to comply with relevant standards
- Ensuring vehicle daily/weekly/monthly checks are completed and the relevant paperwork is maintained and stored for compliance
- Reporting vehicle defects/faults and depot fuel store defects/faults to the Resource Manager and Depot Lead.
- Producing, updating and reviewing risk assessments for the safe delivery and unloading of fuel.
- Maintaining, monitoring fuel delivery records, fuel management system and accurately recording delivered volumes for audit purposes.
- Monitoring fuel levels for both the depot stores and items of plant on site to ensure the depot fuel stores and plant fleet fuel limits are maintained to the correct levels to ensure successful delivery of planned works.
- Ordering fuel for the depot plant fuel stores.
- Supporting the Plant business with parts delivery to machines as and when required.

**Skills & experience**:
To be eligible to apply, you must hold a full and valid UK driving licence including the ‘C1’ LGV category and have previous experience of delivery driving at this level.

In addition, you will be:

- Computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Office
- Flexible and proactive with a can-do attitude who shows initiative to support others.
- Responsible attitude and high level of safety awareness
- Previous experience of fuel delivery driving, ADR certification, Driver Qualification Card and Digital Tachograph Card would be a distinct advantage. Training will be provided in these areas if not already held together with rail specific training required for the role.
