**Job description**:
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a small team of 2 HEO’s to manage the internal planning, budgeting and forecasting/in-year financial management of 3 business Teams. These are
- **Finance and Corporate Services (FCS)**:Responsible for various corporate enabling functions across DBS including: managing the DBS budget and ensuring financial policies and assurances are in place; delivering a communication, marketing and media handling service for DBS; the co-ordination and delivery of people engagement and management plans (including health & wellbeing and reward & recognition); management of the DBS estate to ensure appropriate working environments are provided with full compliance with required policies such as health and safety; Clienting (assurance) and Commercial Relationship Management.
- **Finance, Procurement and Civilian Personnel (FPCP)**:This team provides expert information, advice and services to and on behalf of MOD business areas. It is responsible for: payments to MOD suppliers valued at more than £27 billion a year; recovering approximately £1.2 billion of receipts in respect of MOD invoices; generating debtors, and creditors in the MOD financial management system valued at approximately £102 billion; providing HR shared services including, resourcing, pay, apprentice management and casework to 55,000 MOD employees and some 'Trading Fund' departments; ensuring that DBS is delivering services against KPIs/PIs aligned to its Service Level Agreements and cultivating a culture of continuous improvement; and customer services via the Incident Response, Enquiry Centre and Document Management teams.
- **Strategy and Service Development (SSD)**:Responsibilities include the development of corporate strategy and service development. Each Team has an operating budget split into Workforce and non-Workforce built up through robust demand-based annual planning submissions which the role will play a key part in managing in accordance with HM Treasury’s managing public money policy. Uniquely within DBS, the FCS C1 Fin Ops position works directly with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) finance team to manage the DBS element of the centrally held Infrastructure budget.

This position reports to the G7 Head of Finance Operations through to the G6 Finance Team Leader / DBS Finance Business Partner as part of an overall DBS Finance Function of 26 civilian personnel.
