**Laundry Operative**

**Location**: The O2 Arena, Peninsula Square, London SE10 0DX

**Salary**:£11.52 per hour

**Shift Pattern**: zero hour contract - based on events schedule

PSS group are a nationwide Soft Facilities Services provider, who work with some of the biggest names in retail, entertainment, facilities management and more.

This position would be responsible for providing high quality laundry services to all PSS Staff and the client and its staff.

Tasks
- Providing a _laundry_ service which includes the operation of commercial _washing_, drying, and finishing machinery
- Reactive tasks i.e last minute uniform requests
- Keeping laundry equipment clean as per the manufacturer’s instructions
- Keeping laundry area clean and tidy
- Checking items before washing for damage
- Washing / drying towel, stock control of towels issue and return.
- Reporting all faults and breakages to management
- Keep loading bay clean and tidy, sweep and litter pick.
- Keep crew washrooms and toilets clean.
- Replenish all consumables in washrooms and toilets.
- Keep filters and detergent draws clear and clean to both washing machines.
- Keep filters to tumble dryer clean and clear.
- Ensuring that consumable laundry items are kept fully stocked i.e. washing powder/detergent
- All other duties

Qualifications And Requirements
- Delivering a high customer service experience
- Speak, write and understand English language
- Eye for detail, identifying marks, repairs on garments
- Good problem solver
- Great communication skills inclusive of telephone and radio use.
- Full understanding and approval of the pay structure concerning this position.

- General Appearance - Role would require a smart appearance to include black trousers (no jeans or cargo) and black shoes. Tattoos should be covered up where possible along with long hair tied back and jewellery to be kept to a minimum.
- Right to work - The employee for this role will need proof of right to work in the UK - this would be through a residence card/permit or a EU settlement Scheme Code.
- Training - Colleagues will have access to full training programme via eLearning platform and will also be able to use the employee assistance programmes.
