**Are you an experienced Decorator from a commercial background? Then read on**

Fusion Lifestyle are looking for a Painter/decorator. Our **Decorators **make sure our leisure facilities are well-presented and in excellent decorative order.

As a **Decorator, **you will** c**arry out a range of internal and external painting and decoration tasks, ensuring a high quality finish and excellent presentation of our sites. This will include cleaning and preparing surfaces, repairing any damage to surfaces, painting, and occasionally some basic joinery. Adherence to H&S guidelines is essential.

**The main tasks and responsibilities of this role include**:

- Carrying out inspections to determine the extent of internal and external painting and decoration required
- Prepare and clean surfaces using hand-held power tools. This could include scraping, sanding, sand-blasting, hydro-blasting, steam-cleaning or “burning off” of loose paint
- Repairing works to walls and surfaces
- Handling and mixing of paint on a regular basis
- Carrying out all necessary administrative work associated with the Fusion team’s processes, which includes recording jobs from receipt through to completion
- Liaising and working with all other trades, providing technical advice as and when required
- Ensuring all work is carried out in a safe, proper and thorough manner taking into account Hygiene, Health and Safety legislation, Fusion policies, procedures and risk assessments
- Adhere to and take responsibility for own Hygiene, Health and Safety procedures, and act as role model for these when present at any Fusion site or affiliate sites
- To work safely at heights, internally and externally, using appropriate access equipment
- Other ad-hoc responsibilities in-keeping with the position

**Essential Criteria**:

- Extensive knowledge/ experience of Painting & Decorating in a commercial environment
- Must be willing to travel between sites and transport equipment - own transport is required and occasionally you may be required to work outside of normal working hours.

**Desired Qualifications**:

- C&G up to Level 3 standard or equivalent in Painting and Decorating; ideally having served a recognised apprenticeship
