**What it’s like to work here**

20 months ago we re-opened our theatre in Truro, Cornwall’s capital city. Full of intriguing spaces and steeped in history, our new building will enchant and inspire 300,000 people a year.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Selling tickets, group bookings, season bundles, subscriptions and memberships
- Encouraging our audiences to develop their relationship with HfC through every visit
- Handling incoming and outbound phone calls through the Box Office switchboard, answering general queries or redirecting calls as required
- Taking payments securely and encouraging our customers to pre-order drinks, programmes and interval ice creams
- Managing queues and keeping things moving
- Helping all our audiences have a great time at the theatre by assisting wherever’s needed, to deliver a first-class welcome every time

**Who we’re looking for**
- Excellent standards of personal presentation, smart appearance and articulate
- Knowledge and skills of working in a reservations/sales/reception environment
- Highly approachable and personable
- Clear and confident written and verbal communicator
- Numerate with knowledge of till operation and cash handling
- An interest in theatre and performing arts
- Knowledge of Spektrix ticketing software (desirable)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £22,269.00 per year
