Private Medical Secretary

Want to join a friendly, rapidly growing business providing secretarial support to medical consultants in private practice?

We are looking for individuals with a background in healthcare administration. We value individuals who are confident, take pride in their work, are organised with an eye for detail, have great telephone skills and like to work independently as well as part of a dynamic team.

Please note transcription skills are not required as this activity is undertaken by a separate team.

**This role is full time with flexible working (work from home) offered following successful completion of probation period ( 3 Months). Please note for the duration of your probation period you will be based at our central office at Stansted Courtyard, Bishop's Stortford, CM22 6PU.**

Hours: 09.00 - 17.00 | Monday - Friday

A demonstrated history of working in healthcare or a similar senior administration role is essential to be considered for this role.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

Organising each consultant’s diary and updating relevant parties of this.

Organising patient appointments / procedures

Maintaining and updating patient records accurately

Preparing patient letters and reports - these will already be typed

Liaising with medical insurance companies

Organising patient appointments with external Consultants/hospitals/health professionals

Working independently and as part of a team

Ensuring the smooth running of the Consultants’ practice

Management of confidential information.

To ensure patients and hospitals are kept informed of any delays and proactively manage situations.

To undertake any other duties as directed by the management team

**Salary**: £30,000 -£32000 per year dependent on experience
