**Summary**:

This Army Welfare Worker (AWW) post, which provides training to gain a Level 7 Certificate in Specialist Welfare gives you that opportunity.
- Army Welfare Service (AWS) utilises a combination of civilian and serving military Army Welfare Workers (AWW) operating in multi-disciplinary teams, to provide a professional specialist Personal Support (PS) welfare service to the Regular Army, the Army Reserve and their families.-
- This position is advertised 37 hours per week.**Job description**:
- In the role of AWW you will support soldiers and their families across the spectrum of issues that can affect Service Personnel; these include relationship difficulties, separation, domestic abuse, safeguarding, bereavement and loss. AWS seeks to support individual and family resilience through direct work, engagement with relevant civilian and MOD providers and the Chain of Command to maximise the operational effectiveness of soldiers.
- Due to the nature of specialist welfare work, this post is not suited to the flexible working scheme and is full-time (37 hours per week).
- A full UK Drivers' Licence is required for this post which requires travel to other sites in delivering the service.**Responsibilities**:
- Key Duties are:
- 1. Provide professional quality Personal Support casework to entitled military Service personnel and their families.
- 2. Receive and actively participate in regular professional supervision from the designated supervisor in line with AWS policy.
- 3. Provide relevant advice on welfare matters to the Chain of Command, including attending relevant meetings and delivering presentations/briefs.
- 4. Respond to Child and Adult safeguarding concerns according to relevant civilian and MOD policy.
- 5. Act as MOD representative at Child Protection conferences and other multi agency meetings as agreed with the senior AWS staff.
- 6. Produce Specialist Welfare Recommendation reports as appropriate and as requested by Units, within relevant MOD guidelines and policy.
- 7. Act as Placement Mentor to trainee AWWs when required, undertaking necessary relevant training.
- 8. Liaise closely with relevant civilian agencies to facilitate collaborative working and share information in accordance with relevant Policy.
- 9. Work within and implement Social Work for England guidelines (or equivalent for relevant devolved administrations)
- 10. Work in accordance with appropriate MOD policies and procedures, AWS Standard Operating Instructions and within the Army Code of Confidentiality.
- 11. Undertake other duties within the terms and conditions appropriate to the grade and role as directed by the Line Management/Functional Management chain.**Behaviours**:
