A leading and innovative life sciences organisation are looking for a Senior Scientist - Molecular Biology to join their busy team to work on a range of projects within their R&D team, particularly focusing on mRNA technology. This position would be suitable for both individuals looking to cross into industry from academia or those who have industrial experience.

The Job

The successful Senior Scientist - Molecular Biology will work within an R&D environment on a range of duties;
- Take ownership of multiple molecular biology projects, particularly focusing on mRNA technology
- Driving project progress by carrying out research and designing experiments
- Technically lead the project in the lab, delegating tasks to teams of Scientists and providing training where necessary
- Use molecular biology techniques such as cloning, designing vectors, DNA extraction, RNA extraction,
- Scale up processes from laboratory to pilot scale

Your Experience

The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience;
- Significant experience with genetics or molecular biology techniques including RNA extraction, DNA extraction, cloning and more
- Experience with mRNA technology would be advantageous
- This would be suitable either for individuals with a PhD, postdoc researchers or individuals with a BSc/MSc with additional industrial experience
