The NHS Grenfell Health and Wellbeing Service is a specialist service set up in response to the fire at Grenfell Tower in June 2017. The Dedicated Service team works closely with other organisations in order to create an integrated, creative, flexible and responsive service, aimed at meeting the needs of the survivors and bereaved individuals and families accessing the Dedicated Service.

The successful post holder will be able to engage local residents in health and wellbeing services and be able to work flexibly, positively, creatively and sensitively within a very challenging and fast-changing context, whilst maintain excellent relationships with individuals and community organisations.

Overview of Main Responsibilities
- To proactively reach out to people who access the Dedicated Service, and undertake assessments to identify those individuals who may have PTSD, in a variety of settings
- To develop sensitive and responsive relationships with the survivors and bereaved families of Grenfell Tower
- To support, those individuals who may have PTSD or related symptoms/conditions to access appropriate clinical treatment for those symptoms.
- To support those individuals who, for a range of reasons, may not want to access psychological services for treatment, to manage their mental wellbeing or symptoms until they are ready to access psychological services, including supporting them during, before or after appointments.
- To ensure that appropriate referrals are made to relevant services
- To contribute to the team having a proactive approach to identifying, contacting and supporting individuals affected by the fire, with appropriate referral on to clinical services where needed, e.g. GHWS, or other services as identified
- To maintain and develop effective relationships and interface with statutory and non-statutory services in the local area
- To work with the Team Manager, and others to develop the ongoing NHS offer to the community directly affected by the Grenfell fire
- To sensitively consider and respond to the community in relation to the Grenfell Tower fire, recognising the diversity of the area in which the team is working.
- To promote a culture of community engagement and liaison in the delivery of the work of the team.
- To assist the Team Manager in developing a multidisciplinary team that is well co-ordinated, responsive and attuned to the needs of its service users
- To adhere to Information Governance and professional body (i.e.NMC/HCPC) and NHS/Trust requirements
- To ensure that contacts and outcomes from people using the service are dealt with safely, with referrals onwards managed effectively
- To participate in and provide where appropriate, supervision
- To demonstrate a high level of clinical competence both in relation to supervision of staff and direct face to face contact with service users
- To demonstrate high levels of risk management competence and support team members in identifying and managing risk.
- To articulate requirement of changes to service delivery, to respond to and adapt to identified need.
- To maintain clinical/case records, (primarily IAPTUS) to Trust and professional body requirements
- To ensure that accurate case recording occurs regarding all aspects of the work undertaken with service users and that this is reflected in the teams documentation, database, and that administrative systems are updated whenever there is any adjustment in service
