This role will be a critical position on the main contract currently at the site and focus on creating and maintaining the of As Built Records, carrying out on site Incremental Physical Configuration Audits (IPCA's) and supporting the Physical Configuration Audits (PCA's) for all project deliverable required by the customer.

The Production Operations team provides manufacturing configuration resources to support operational performance and major product development projects; from design through to engineering build and production support, to end of life of product. The team provides full product life cycle support including prototype design & build, development and integration of the build documentation and supporting requirements of full production build.

As part of the Manufacturing Configuration team, the Snr Manufacturing Configuration Analyst is the recognised point of contact for all matters related to Operational Configuration, providing related process advice, problem solving and identifying improvement opportunities in existing practices.

The Manufacturing Configuration Controller will drive a proactive approach to right first time quality to promote improvements in the downstream processes, will enhance the reputation of the business through exceptional quality standards and contribute towards on time deliveries to the customer.

Main Responsibilities:

- Ensures the timely creation of As-Built records for retrospective uplift work, including evidencing the embodiment of change and closure of concessions.
- Tracks and reports on the configuration of the As-Built standard of manufactured assemblies at LMUK Ampthill in accordance with business processes and contractual requirements in preparation for delivery to the customer.
- Conducts IPCA's and supports PCA's as required.
- Ensures robust controls are in place within the manufacturing business system (SAP) to ensure configuration control of manufactured parts is appropriate.
- Supports the control of manufacturing process change in accordance with business processes.
- Holiday cover for the Chair of the Manufacturing Configuration Control Boards (MCCB).
- Supports the coordination of the detailing of the Impact Assessment in relation to engineering changes into the MCCB.
- Supports feedback to Engineering on required changes to the engineering baseline.
- Supports the reviews of business processes for manufacturing change to ensure applicability is maintained within area of responsibility.
- Provide support to the continuous improvement of the process and departmental data storage structure.
- Potential to provide support to the wider PP&C team.

Required skills, qualifications and experience:

- Demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of As Built list generation (either manually or in an ERP system) within an Operational environment.
- A tenacious, detailed and data driven individual who can support within a Programme environment.
- Strong analytical skills.
- An understanding of the fundamentals of manufacturing, bills of materials, routings and controlling factors within SAP (or similar ERP software).
- Strong communication skills that can sell and influence a range of audiences internally and externally with the ability to work with all levels of the business.
- An independent thinker, able to take on the role of a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to maintain the key requirements of Manufacturing Configuration.
- Detailed Excel knowledge - able to understand and modify macros.
- A knowledge of concessions, As-Built lists, PCA's, IPCA's, Windchill, CBOM's and MBOM's highly advantageous.
- Optional - Material control experience in a manufacturing environment. A Material Planning or Material Control background could be useful within this role.
- Key competences: Personal accountability, building relationships, planning for results, customer first, adaptability.

Capable of obtaining SC - Security Clearance.
