**Purpose**
Routine maintenance and breakdown repairs of the plant including conveyors, screeners, magnets, material shredders etc
**Key Relationships**
- Health and Safety Manager and representatives.
- Operations Manager.
- Maintenance Manager.
- MRF Supervisor.
- Third party maintenance companies.
- Vendors.
**Key Accountabilities**
- Ensure that all operations within their area of responsibility are properly resourced and are safely and efficiently undertaken at all times making maximum usage of available resources.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with all Operational, Health & Safety and Environmental procedures.
- Ensure proper housekeeping is maintained at all times and that all contractors are aware of and comply with their duties in this regard.
- Operate within the company health and safety guidelines and ensure that all contractors and visitors to understand and operate to that standard.
- Conform strictly to all instructions given by the Environmental Dept. on meeting legal and environmental requirements.
- Complete all planned preventative maintenance as per schedules to ensure maximum equipment performance and availability and minimisation of equipment downtime.
- Complete all ad hoc repairs as required across the site. This will include equipment that is not in the planned maintenance system.
- Identify areas for improvement.
**Skills & Qualifications required**
- Hardworking, multi discipline and flexible individual.
- Have a genuine interest in the recycling concept
- Practical experience in the maintenance of plant and equipment.
- Ability to resolve problems.
- A good team player
- Certified forklift/skidsteer/grab machine operator an advantage
- Must have a proven background working as a mechanic or mechanical plant fitter
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
