Farm Operative

Our client is an industry leader within its sector and an opportunity has arisen for a number of Farm Operatives to join the team for full time ongoing work at their fam based in Edstaston near Wem, Shropshire.

Hours of work will be Monday to Friday working 7am - 5pm with the availability to work some overtime on weekends as the farm runs on skeletal staff at these times.

Rate of pay is **£12 per hour inclusive of attendance and safety bonus (basic rate £11.50ph)** with the potential to rise to up to **£12.50 per hour** upon being offered a permanent contract. This is due to change as of April 1st in line with National Minimum Wage Increase.

There are **no public transport links** to this rural location, and due to the nature of the work being on a farm **your own personal, safe, reliable transport is required. **Anybody without access to their own reliable transport will **not be considered.**

Farm Operative duties will include but are not limited to:

- Maintaining animal welfare
- Completing animal welfare checks
- Disposing and replenishing of bedding
- Moving livestock by hand
- General farm cleaning, including power washing, sweeping and shovelling
- Loading the incinerator
- Working at heights when required

The Packer role is easily accessible for people with their own transport living in Whitchurch, Wem, Shrewsbury, Prees, Hodnet, Baschurch and surrounding areas.
