Clinical Matron

We're looking for a Clinical Matron to provide professional leadership to Nursing and Allied Health Professionals across Adults Portsmouth Specialist Services. The post holder will work closely with their Operational Manager, other Clinical Matrons, the Head of Quality & Professions and their Service & Quality Manager to ensure the operational delivery of high-quality care, clinical safety, and effective clinical governance.

The Clinical Matron will be a highly visible, accessible, and authoritative presence others can turn for leadership, assistance, advice, and support

They will be accountable for the delivery of safe, caring, effective, well led clinical and multi professional care. The post holder will deliver effective skilled clinical leadership and pro-active resource management including the delivery of all aspects outlined in the Matrons Handbook (2020)

Adults Portsmouth Specialist Services support patients in the community across a range of clinical pathways by providing access to specialist professionals with multiple disciplines. Services are predominately provided as outpatient clinics at St Mary's Community Health Campus as well as other sites across the Portsmouth Local Delivery System, extending to North Hampshire. Some of our teams also visit patients in their own homes when outpatient appointments are not suitable. As specialists, our teams also have roles in educating and supporting healthcare professionals across Solent and our wider partners.
