**Duties**
- Maintain accurate records of all kitchen inventory, including ingredients, equipment, and supplies.
- Conduct regular stock checks and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as necessary to avoid shortages and overstocking.
- Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming deliveries against purchase orders and invoices.
- Ensure that all ingredients and supplies are stored in a safe, organized, and accessible manner.
- Implement and maintain an efficient storage system to maximize space and improve accessibility.
- Label and categorize all items for easy identification and retrieval.
- Rotate stock to ensure freshness and minimize waste, following the first-in, first-out (FIFO) principle.
- Distribute ingredients and supplies to kitchen staff as needed.
- Track the usage of ingredients and supplies to identify trends and inform purchasing decisions.
- Ensure that all storage areas, including dry, refrigerated, and frozen storage, are clean, secure, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of storage areas and equipment to identify and address any issues.
- Implement safety protocols and best practices to prevent accidents and injuries.

**Person Specification**
- Proven experience as a storeman or in a similar role, preferably within a kitchen or food service environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as required.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food storage and handling.

This role is perfect for someone looking for to progress in the sports catering industry. Hours will generally be around 35-40 per week on an hourly basis.
