**SEWING MACHINIST**

**MONDAY - FRIDAY : 08.00-16.00**

**£12.00 - £12.50 PER HOUR**

People Solutions are looking for a Sewing Machinist for our Client in Cradley Heath.

**Day to Day Duties**
- Understanding of the different types of fabric and their characteristics.
- Understanding of the manufacture of the different product ranges and the components used.
- Knowledge and understanding of company quality requirements.
- Basic understanding of the various sewing machines and how to adjust the settings. i.e. thread tension settings and stitch size adjustment.
- Basic understanding of how to replace worn consumable parts on the sewing machines i.e. changing foot and broken / worn needles.
- Experience of using foot pedal operated machines. Pedal can be operated with either foot, depending on the operator's preference.

- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions and work to standards.

- Ability to press garments

**Desirable Experience**

At least 5 years experience working in a factory in a sample room sewing garments

**What training is provided?**

All necessary training will be provided in-house, enabling safe proficient use of machines.
