We have a fantastic new opportunity for an Advanced Manufacturing Technologist, specialising in composites with involvement across our manufacturing activities, here at Leonardo Helicopters. Based in Yeovil, you will be close to a number of cities (Exeter, Bristol, and Bath) and surrounded by some of the finest countryside and beaches in the UK.

As an Advanced Manufacturing Technologist, you will be part of our Technology and Innovation, UK group. We are a forward-looking group that has responsibility for setting the future technological pathways for our UK business and delivering them. This is in collaboration with colleagues from across our global Technology and Innovation network. We engage with external technology stakeholders and internal areas in order to shape and deliver our advanced projects. Defining and delivering the technology future of our business is what we do, across the lifecycle and for a whole range of exciting technology areas, we:

- Shape the future by collaborating across our business to define technological innovations that are most meaningful to our business.
- Scout opportunities and build external networks in order to understand trends in technologies and set collaboration opportunities.
- Deliver new initiatives and innovation projects through internal and external teams.

You will have the opportunity to balance virtual and in person working and be based in a purpose built innovation hub - iAero Innovation Centre - that has been designed from the outset for collaborative innovation. You will directly help to shape the future of Advanced Manufacturing technology here at Leonardo Helicopters and work through collaborations with leading UK research and development bodies. You will work within a caring and committed team that are striving to make a brighter future. You will also have the opportunity to share and grow with international colleagues through our global Technology and Innovation network.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO AS A ADVANCED MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGIST**

As an Advanced Manufacturing Technologist you will be working within our Technology and Innovation team to:

- Coordinate delivery of exciting technology development activity and new initiatives for Advanced Manufacturing, with a focus on composites.
- Collaborate with LH manufacturing teams across composites, transmissions, assembly and future manufacturing.
- Support the creation of Technology Roadmaps in order to inform decision making of investment into Advanced Manufacturing technologies.
- Conduct research on key developments in the UK landscape on technologies and initiatives and disseminate this understanding through ongoing engagement.
- Conduct technology scouting in the UK network in order to help build key future relationships and consortiums and inform business decision making.
- Have direct involvement in key business aspects such as funding scouting, proposal creation, business case development and budget submissions.
- Manage the composite engagement and research with the UK Catapult Centers and take an active role in the research committees.
- Recognise the importance of sustainability and circularity at every stage of innovation.

- Knowledge and experience of working with composite materials and a familiarity with aerospace materials qualification processes.
