Transport Clerk

Job Role: - Transport Clerk
- Salary: - £23.5k per annum
- Location: - East Kilbride
- Hours: - 0500 to 1500 & 0600 to 1400 / 40 hours per week ( weekends involved )

Temp to Perm role.

We are looking for an experienced Transport Clerk to join our customer's successful team based at East Kilbride.

**How will you contribute?**
- Reporting to the Transport Team Managers
- To ensure all relevant information is gathered on time, accurately and in the correct format
- To assist in an effective and efficient transport administration service
- To undertake general duties that support the Transport Team Managers, i.e. answering the phone, issuing vehicle keys, and allocating work.
- Check daily delivery documents to ensure correct store delivery and highlight issues as appropriate. Assist in any investigation regarding discrepancies / adverse results.
- To deliver and demonstrate sound planning and control skills in order to achieve targets as well as working with colleagues to achieve continuous improvement.
- Complete data entry, monitor vehicle movements via the automatic process of the site computerised vehicle management system.
- Produce weekly reports for line management team in connection to the vehicle management system escalating and issues to line management
- Driver De-brief

**What will you bring?**
- Experience of working within a fast paced transport role.
- Excellent geographical knowledge.
- Compliance Knowledge within this role.
- Knowledge of computerised scheduling packages would be an advantage
- Ability to work on your own initiative, working to strict deadlines
- A good communicator both verbal and written
- Excellent PC skills
- Must be adaptable to assist in all areas with a flexible team based approach
- To be responsible for the health and safety of themselves and other colleagues by adhering to safe working practices
- Must be punctual, reliable and committed to achieve daily and weekly KPI’s

**Salary**: £23,500.00 per year
