We are looking to recruit a Catering Supervisor for our Migrant Feeding Team at the Migrant Processing Centre in Manston.
You will work support the development with the migrant feeding and adapt to high volume production, managing within budgetary constraints. You will also assist with planning and cost menus as per company and client specification, along with continuously developingand improving food quality and hygiene standards across all areas.
You will need to have a full UK driving licence as you will be required to drive as part of this role in a company commercial vehicle.
This is an excellent opportunity for you to support people in real need of help who are experiencing the UK for the first time following a traumatic journey, and although there will be limited contact with the migrants, an empathetic, reliable nature with excellentattention to detail would be required.
**Main duties and responsibilities.**
- Deliver a consistent level of service within the Company's standard & contract specification and agreed performance, qualitative and supporting financial targets Ensure all areas of migrant production are followed and also the checking of the UNOX hot fridgeovens are correctly used at the migrant location and that they are correctly filled to the correct specification with the individual meals.
- Effectively manage the preparation and completion of menu planning, ordering & accurate stock control. Timely recording & remitting of all company bookwork, including handover sheets between the client and OCS.
- Assist with disciplinary and grievance issues consistently, fairly and in line with company policy
- Comply with Company & statutory regulations relating to Food Safety, Health & Safety At Work, Cleanliness, COSHH, Fire & Accident Reporting. Maintain all records in line with legislation and company policy.
- Carry out on the job training in such areas as Food Safety, Health & Safety, Unit evacuation policy, dangerous equipment, and food hygiene.
- Ensure Food Cost percentage targets are met, and all specifications are adhered to with the preparation and build of migrant meals.
- To work closely with the client team, stores person and OCS staff to ensure that migrant mealtimes are proportionate and correct.

**To succeed in this role, you will need**
- Fully fluent in spoken & written English.
- 706/1/2 or equivalent
- HND Membership of HCIMA desirable
- Food Hygiene Certificate - Level 2 (level 3 preferred, but not essential)
- Practical experience in a catering establishment, preferably healthcare
- Management experience within catering environment gained in contract catering
- Good knowledge of Food Safety & Health & Safety with a full understanding of cost control.
- Computer literate.
- Full UK driving licence
