Conveyancing Assistant

**Main Purpose**:
**Key Tasks**:
- Chasing up steps in the Conveyancing legal process, aiding in a smooth transaction to exchange and completion. This includes the need to run an efficient diary of key dates for chain purposes;
- Liaising with estate agents, mortgage brokers and other solicitors;
- Updating clients as to the progress of their conveyancing and dealing with their enquiries;
- Keeping information on our computer system up to date as required;
- Liaising with accounts regarding bills, financial transactions and payments;
- To provide support and cover to other assistants as required;
- To undertake any specific training when required to do so and overall to have a responsibility towards self-development;
- To be based in the Bridport office, but may, from time to time be asked to cover other offices where required;
- Complying at all times with the detailed procedures contained in the firm’s Quality and Risk Management System and Conveyancing Protocol;
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment;
- Contribute to maintaining and improving office procedures;
