Pmr Assistant

We are looking for a Pre-Make Ready Assistant to join our team in Gateshead.

**Specific Responsibilities**
- Supplying cutting Machines with pre-set Tooling/covering breaks / working with planning /carrying out pit stop make ready to maximise efficiencies in the Cutting Department. working as a Two Man operation you will be responsible for the smooth Day to Day tooling changeovers on all Cutting Machines wearing all necessary PPE equipment require.
- You will learn the Basics of running a cutting Machine while covering Breaks.
- You are responsible for looking after tooling and racking in the correct location placing any defective units into the quarantine area to allow new tooling to be ordered in a timely manner.
- Studying the cutting plan for call off dates on jobs and prioritising jobs for the Machines to ensure no misses are caused by missing critical dates., working alongside the Supervisor is key to this.
- Housekeeping and 5’s and Health and safety routines are key to making the Department a safe Environment to work in for all, Audits are carried out daily to enforce this.

**Skills & Qualifications**
- No formal qualifications required although a Manufacturing background is preferred.
- A willingness to learn processes and procedures is essential.
- Good Timekeeping and Housekeeping.
