This post will provide secretarial support to our Consultants and will also involve working closely with Doctors, Nurses, the Business Unit, fellow Specialty Coordinators, Medical Secretaries, and Administration Staff amongst the wider health care teams. You will help to provide an accurate and comprehensive service, taking a supervisory role over the team, ensuring CQUIN and other Key Performance Indicator targets are achieved. The post also involves escalating shortfalls in capacity when appropriate, attend meetings, maintaining consultant diaries, rotas, clinic typing, ensuring patients are tracked through their clinical pathways and updating the Patient Administration System (PAS) and other hospital systems and databases, in line with the Patient Access Policy and Local and National waiting time maxima. You will cover absence/leave for colleagues, as well as assisting the Administration/Secretarial/Management teams as required.

You will be responsible for directly line managing the secretarial team at Lincoln County Hospital. In addition to this you will be Medical Secretary to one full-time Consultant.
