**Job Title: Sample Sewing Machinist & Pattern Contouring Specialist**

**Location: West London**

**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Create garment patterns and grade them according to client specifications and size requirements.
- Develop clothing prototypes using both traditional and innovative techniques, ensuring accurate fit and construction.
- Operate sewing machines and other equipment to produce garments efficiently and accurately.
- Work closely with designers and clients to understand their vision and translate it into tangible products.
- Run small batches of production, adhering to production schedules and quality standards.
- Utilise garment technology tools and software to streamline production processes and optimise efficiency.
- Assist in the development of upcycled collections, repurposing materials to create unique and sustainable garments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring equipment is properly maintained and safety protocols are followed.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a sewing machinist, with a strong understanding of sewing, tailoring, and garment construction techniques.
- Proficiency in pattern making and grading, with the ability to create and modify patterns to meet specific requirements.
- Familiarity with garment technology tools and software, such as CAD systems and pattern drafting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision, with the ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Passion for sustainability and a commitment to reducing the environmental impact of the fashion industry.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and project requirements in a fast-paced studio environment.
