An exciting opportunity has arisen within the **Norwich** Base for you to join a dynamic team committed to supporting people with drug and/or alcohol issues on their recovery journey. As a Criminal Justice recovery worker with Change Grow Live you’ll work with people who use our services, helping them get to where they want to be.The role of the **Criminal Justice Recovery Worker** will mainly support people coming through our prison link service as well as other areas of criminal justice involvement including courts and probation.This role includes one-to-one key work, delivering our group work programmes, case management and interacting with partner agencies, particularly prisons, police, probation and courts, to ensure people accessing Change Grow Live can improve and change their lives.**Where**: Norwich**When**:We are looking to get the right person into the team ASAP**Hours**:37.5 per week**Salary**: £27,449.53 - £31,529.41 pro rata(dependent on experience)**Contract Type**: Permanent**Responsibilities**:
**About the role**:

- Supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey
- Providing screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referral
- Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community
- Promoting carer, service user and community involvement
- Providing advocacy for access to partnership services
- Motivational Interviewing
- Children’s & adult safeguarding
- Liaison and partnership working including police, probation, courts, prisons.
- Substance awareness
- Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determination

**About you**:

- Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and/or experience of working within a similar field
- Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills
- Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills
- Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders
- Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users
- Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden your professional knowledge and skills and to contribute and oversee the learning and development of others
