**Duties**:

- Operates limited coffee operation. Prepares a limited variety of hot beverages such as cappuccinos, brewed coffee, lattes, espresso, hot chocolate, etc, by selecting proper ingredients. Serves cold beverages and food items such as frappuccinos, smoothies, soda, juice, cookies, muffins, pastries, bagels, etc.
- Prepares and assembles food items such as sandwiches, paninis, fruit, and salad bowls to include slicing bread, meat, and cheese items and washing and dicing fruits and vegetables for use in the daily menu. Uses a flat grill to cook breakfast items, such as eggs, bacon, and sausages.
- Receives payment, operates cash register, makes and returns change to patrons.
- Sets up work area for operation and obtains cash bank. Maintains work area neat and clean. Sets up/cleans tables for customers and replenishes condiment items as necessary. Sets up and operates dishwashers, performs preventative maintenance and cleaning. Scrapes, soaks, scours glassware, dishes and utensils as required.

- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- This position requires the incumbent to complete food handler's training within 30 days of appointment.

- **Qualifying Experience (MUST BE SUPPORTED IN YOUR RESUME)**:
Must be able to follow simple oral instructions, be able to use hand tools for food preparation and cleaning and operate simple machines. Must be skilled in doing tasks with several steps and must use judgment in sequencing tasks. Must be able to follow cash handling procedures. Must have knowledge of sanitation standards in handling and serving food and beverages, and for cleaning equipment and work area.**Education**:
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.
