**Assistant Gardener required for a small, well established and professional garden maintenance company operating around Royston and to a radius of 8-10 miles.**

**We are looking for someone who has some gardening experience, weed and plant knowledge, someone who can operate garden machinery, who is willing to learn and be part of a team and has the desire to work in an outdoor environment.**

**You will need to be well presentable, polite and most importantly **hardworking, professional and reliable.**

**Duties will include**:
**Grass cutting, hedge cutting, strimming, planting of trees, shrubs and herbaceous perennials, weeding, edging of lawns, pruning of small trees and shrubs, maintenance of garden ponds, power washing, fencing, construction of patios and pathways.**

Previous experience in soft landscaping services and the ability to operate a range of horticultural equipment including power and hand tools, push and ride on mowers, strimmers, hedge cutting equipment is preferred but not essential.

**This is a position where the successful applicant will benefit from training and can acquire **lots of new horticultural skills.**

**The wage is £8.25 - £9.25 (dependant on age and experience)**

**This is paid per hour’s worked onsite. 40 hours per week. 4 to 5 days a week.**

**There is also of chance of pick up and drop off in Royston if the right applicant doesn’t have transport.**
