**Animal Care Tutor**

Our incredible client has a provision that is is a co-educational school and provides a supportive and personalised education programme for pupils aged between 5-17. The school caters for pupils with complex educational needs, communication difficulties and challenging behaviour. The school supports pupils with social, emotional and mental wellbeing needs.

Additionally, many of our pupils present with significant social and communication difficulties influenced by trauma or complex emotional difficulties. The school prides itself on providing specialised interventions than those provided in a mainstream school.

**Duties to include**:

- Be responsible for designing and implementing an Animal Care programme in KS1 to KS4
- Be responsible for the main delivery of Animal Care
- Organise and direct (as appropriate) the teaching of Animal Care across the curriculum
- Manage and be responsible for the Animal Care facilities and resources
- Manage and be responsible for the welfare of the animals including; cleaning, grooming, feeding and monitoring their health
- Identify appropriate accreditation opportunities in Animal Care
- Undertake animal care duties at weekends and during school holidays

**Requirements**:

- Experience working with young people with SEN and Behavioural issues is essential
- Experience Tutoring young people
- Animal Care qualification is highly desirable
- A personable, kind and creative approach to support

- Animal Care: 2 years (required)
- Working with people with complex behaviours and SEN: 1 year (required)
- Tutoring: 1 year (required)
