Division of Health Research, in partnership with the Lancaster Medical School. Sustainable Health and Care Research (NIHR Research Support Service).

Lancaster University’s Research Support Service hub will be delivered in partnership with the Universities of Liverpool, Manchester, and Manchester Metropolitan.

You will work as part of 1) a team based at Lancaster University who lead the provision of the RSS and 2) within one of the Division of Health Research’s research themes. The Division has several strong research themes: mental health, health inequalities, end-of-life care, health economics, ageing and organisational health and well-being.

You will have a background in an area of relevance (e.g. social sciences, health service or social care research), ideally experience in both quantitative and qualitative methodologies and experience of working collaboratively with partners within and outside the academic setting. You will also have a strong track record of high-quality peer reviewed publications/grant income appropriate to your career stage.

The position is available for immediate start and we are open to discussing flexible working arrangements including working week and days/hours worked, flexible start and finish times or condensed hours.

You will join us on an indefinite contract however the roles remain contingent on external funding which at this time is due to come to an end on 30th September 2028.
