**Classroom Buddy**
- **Do you have experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)?**_
- **Are you wanting to help shape the lives of children with learning difficulties but don’t feel you have the relevant qualifications?**_

Milk Education are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Classroom Buddy to work throughout Key Stage 1 and 2 in a mainstream primary school based in Wigan. The school have a number of children throughout KS1 and KS2 whom currently hold an Educationand Health Care Plan (EHCP) and who are on the Autistic Spectrum (ASD). The role is full-time working Monday to Friday and the working hours from 08:30-15:30pm with a 30 minute lunch break.

If successful, you will work under the guidance of the teaching staff to support access to learning. Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the normal teaching area.

**What you need to apply:
- Previous experience working with children, or young adults, with ASD and complex needs (Voluntary experience welcome)
- Confidence dealing with pupils with different abilities and SEND requirements
- Good interpersonal and communicational skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to complete this)
- Enthusiastic attitude towards inspiring children

**For the role of Classroom Buddy you could have any of the following backgrounds:
- Sports Coaching
- Care Worker
- Army Cadets
- Psychology graduate
- Tutoring children with SEN
- Youth Worker
- Any previous experience with special educational needs
