**Trainee Legal Executive**:
We are offering the opportunity for someone to join our Real Estate Disputes Team as a Trainee Legal Executive.

Working as a Trainee Legal Executive is an ideal way to gain legal experience and deepen your knowledge of the legal sector. You'll have the chance to work alongside experts in providing resolutions, avoidance and mitigation of disputes in the real estate sector.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Producing first drafts of contractual and statutory notices for review. memoranda, but may include a wide variety of other contractual or statutory notices.
- Initial drafting of 1954 Act notices and Court forms, as well as residential lease notices (for instance possession notices under s.8 or s.21 Housing Act 1988).
- Undertaking initial reviews of break notices served on clients, understanding whether they have been served correctly, and conditions have been met. Providing draft advice and recommendations for review by supervisors.
- Reviewing and checking leases, options and other property documents in relation to all of the above. This may include taking client instructions and reviewing documents to identify and interpret trigger and notice provisions and conditions.
- Responding to queries and updating clients as needed.
- Co-ordinating the filing and service of Court documents.
- Document management and preparation of hearing and other document bundles (both hard copy and electronic) in relation to litigation.
- Ensuring critical dates are diarised with relevant actions planned and then monitored to ensure outcomes.
- Business development administration, for example assisting in the organisation of events or updating of marketing lists.
- File opening, this includes undertaking conflict checks, anti-money laundering and ID document checks, know your client (KYC) checks and then the production of engagement letters.
- Billing, this includes drafting cost estimates for own work, providing input into overall pricing, fee updating and producing of bills.
- Carrying out legal research as required.

**Qualifications and Key Skills**:

- Strong attention to detail is required due to the nature of the work.
- An understanding of law (the successful person will likely have a law degree) to support them to read and understand contractual clauses and identify and interpret statutory provisions.
- Staying calm under pressure, often working to tight timelines/turnarounds whilst maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders that range from solicitors, partners, marketing, client support team, legal support and other legal executives
