Operating across South Wales, we support people from a range of backgrounds to improve their health and wellbeing, build their confidence, learn new skills, achieve qualifications, and make positive life improvements through the regeneration of empty properties throughout our communities.

We return empty properties to the housing market, improving the living standards of our communities, and providing an affordable and effective solution to the housing and empty property crisis of Wales.

The Cii wishes to appoint a **Multi-Skill Construction Tutor** to join our new Women Construct Wales project. As a tutor on this project, you will support the renovation of a series of empty properties, whilst guiding a group of female participants to improve their confidence and learn new skills. In doing so you will work alongside another tutor, and be supported on a daily basis by our Head of Operations and Head of Engagement & Wellbeing.

Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, the 3 year project will bring 6 empty properties back into use, whilst supporting approx 30 participants per property (4-6 participants on a daily basis.)

This is a unique and exciting role to support our communities through supporting people to build confidence and learn skills that will support them to make positive life steps, whilst bringing empty properties back into use.

A permanent role, salary is paid monthly. Employment benefits include:

**Key areas of responsibility**

**1. Renovation activities**
- Be able to competently carry out a wide range of renovation and trade activities in an empty property.
- Plan the various renovation activities in line with overall project timescales.
- Work alongside and supervise our trusted contractors in electrical, water, and gas trades.

**2. Participant support**
- Take part in participant inductions alongside our Head of Engagement & Wellbeing.
- Support approx. 4-6 participants daily to improve their confidence, and begin to learn the various trade skills associated with a property renovation.
- Adapt the speed and delivery of the activities to the requirements of the participants.
- Patiently support each person to learn new skills, resulting in improved confidence, self-esteem, and self-worth.
- Monitor participant attendance and feedback to Head of Engagement & Wellbeing.
- Clearly and effectively engage with our Management Team on a regular basis, providing participant progress feedback and raising any wellbeing concerns that may come to light.
