As a member of the Data Science and Analytics Leadership team, you will drive effective decision making using the power of data. You will work with the Director of Data Science and Analytics and your peers at HoD level to always look to make things better through innovation and the latest techniques in Data Science.

What you'll do- Establishing and evolving relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders in the Product, Customer Service Group and Customer Experience space to support the strategy and inform key business decision-making. Demonstrating a commitment to developing transformational capabilities and operational excellence, you will be working regularly with key Director or Exec leaders.- Thought leadership and innovation on transforming the way our business makes decisions, leveraging the power of data to empower via innovative and productionised data products for consumption by the broader community, within and outside Sky Data.- Strong influencing skills working right across commercial stakeholders, the analytics community and technology alike, supporting development and continuous improvements to core capabilities in product performance and improvement, product go-to-market strategy and customer experience understanding.- Leading a team of data science and analytics professionals to deliver on your priorities. Key responsibilities are laying the foundations then implementation of a continuous cycle of test, build, maintain of analytics and data science capabilities. Influencing, inspiring, and direction setting are additional key responsibilities.- Driving best practice and a culture of innovation and experimentation within the team to mobilise opportunities and build value cases to improve outcomes for the business.- Effectively balancing business demand vs supply and prioritising within the roadmap to create stretching but realistic goals and implementation plans.- Developing, refining and scaling data science and analytics procedures, systems and workflows.

What you'll bring- Solid experience and track record of building and leading high-performance teams.- Experience in delivering end-to-end advanced analytical solutions with measurable impact to the business by using a wide range of machine learning methods using open source or commercial tools, experience in advanced data manipulation for modelling and/or data analysis in Python, SQL, R, SAS, Matlab.- Experience in dealing with very granular data, using key Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Hive/Cassandra/Impala/HBase and others). Experience with cloud environments a plus (Google Cloud Platform, Amazon EC2). Experience with real-time framework a plus (Storm, Kafka, SAS RTDM).- Strong experience working with both commercial and technology roles to cultivate ideas from prototypes to production ready solutions, proven track of business partnering at Director/Exec level.- Creativity and innovation to deliver transformational projects.- Working in a dynamic environment: Can-do attitude and adaptability to quickly evolving objectives with strong ability to present findings in a non-technical manner and to pitch at the right level. Able to deliver big picture benefits and also make careful and swift prioritisation calls.- High levels of logical thinking & problem-solving skills. Able to deal with complex problems using innovative and industry leading techniques.
