**Assistant Buyer / Purchasing Assistant**

**The Role**
- Contacting suppliers and obtaining quotes for materials
- Speaking with subcontractors regarding their purchasing requirements
- Raising purchase orders and dealing with invoice disputes
- Ensure materials are readily across multiple sites
- Build, develop and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers
- Chasing up with suppliers on any overdue / outstanding purchased goods
- Other ad hoc duties

**Essential Criteria**
- Previous experience in a buying / purchasing position
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Confident with a positive can-do attitude
- Ability to process information
- Excellent negotiating skills
- Previous experience in working with MRP system (desirable)
