**ABOUT US -**

Established in 1845 in the “Bonnet Toun” of Stewarton Robert Mackie of Scotland has been making traditional Scottish headwear for over 175 years. The company also supplies fashion hat, gloves, scarfs and knitted accessories to many well-known branded retailers the world over and also has a new yearly collection sold through our network of worldwide agents.

We pride our self on creating sustainable items with all our products being made of wool or other natural fibres. All manufacturing processes are done on site in our factory in Stewarton to create a truly “Made in Scotland” quality product. **ABOUT YOU -**

Must be able to work well as part of a team and use their own initiative to work independently. Possess strong communication skills.

**ABOUT THE ROLES -**

With ambitious growth plans for the future, we are currently looking to hear from people who have the skills and passion to join our team.

We currently have the following vacancies
- Knitting Department - Both the Glove and hat, scarf knitting sections are looking for additional personnel. These roles may require shift work including early, back and night shift. Experience in operating, maintaining or programming Stoll or Shima Seiki knitting machinery would be an advantage.

Sewing Machinists - We require various machine operators with knowledge of blind sewing, stitching, overlocking and cup seaming. Experience in one of these operations is essential. These roles may require shift work including night shift.

Examining Department - Our quality control department is seeking people with great attention to detail and an eye for quality products. The role will involve the examination of finished goods including gloves, hats, scarfs and then packing ready for despatch following the instruction of the customer. These roles may require shift work including night shift.

**HOW TO APPLY-**

**Salary**: From £10.46 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
