The post holder will be an integral member of the finance department, with a varied job role and responsibilities that meet service needs. The finance apprentice will have the opportunity to undertake a range of rotational placements and assist in the delivery of high-quality financial management, financial accounting and systems to support the wider finance team, other operational managers, and external stakeholders.

Full support, training and direction will be given so that the apprentice is able to gain valuable work experience and new skills, whilst being supported to achieve a professional AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification. This is an opportunity not only to develop new competences and confidence but one that will open a wealth of possibilities for your future career within the NHS and its unique workforce. It is expected that the apprentice will be able to progress into a part-qualified role after the first 24-36 months.

The post holder will deal directly with the ADOF for Financial Services as their training manager throughout the apprenticeship and line managers will rotate as they change placements, offering an abundance of expertise and guidance
